Wine Refrigerator Or Compact Mini Refrigerator?

We do not always have space in the places we live for full size appliances, and sometimes you want to have the comforts of a kitchen in a place that does not have one like an office or a car.  Compact mini refrigerators or wine refrigerators might be the perfect answer for you.  Different models serve different functions, so first knowing what it will be used for will be the most difficult decision.

Though there are many used ones to be had on the cheap from college students moving out of dormitories, if you want a new one, they are available for as little as $100, or you can always spend more for added features and style.

Wine refrigerators are probably going to be the most expensive, since they have more technology going into them than a regular fridge.  They come in mini and full size options, depending on how much wine you need to store.  In addition, they have specific temperature control and better circulation to keep your spirits drinkable for longer periods of time.

Prices can range from the Vinotemp VT-12, which holds 12 bottles for $179 to the Avanti 54, which holds 54 bottles and sells for $749.99. The former is meant to be free standing while the latter can stand alone or be built in.  It all depends on what wine needs you need to have met.

If you are storing more than just wine, a regular mini refrigerator will probably serve you best.  Some have freezer space that usually will hold a few ice trays, and some forgo it to make room for more food and drink space.  If you do not feel that you are going to be freezing anything, it is probably better to go with just the fridge so you will not have to worry about frost build up and have more space for your goodies.

The Magic Chef Mini Refrigerator will probably give you the most bang for your buck.  At $80, it is a great way to get started.  There are not a lot of extras, but brand new, it will last you for many years to come.  For something more spacious, you could always check out the Sanyo model, which has a ton of space for its small size.  You can even fit a gallon size milk inside the door! However, if you are going to need ice cubes, this model does not include it.

So, as you can see, there is such a variety out there for you to choose from.  Whether it is for a mini refrigerator or a wine refrigerator, the choices are endless.  Once you know your needs and how much you want to spend, all you need to do is choose your style.
