Why Choose Hair Implants Surgery

There are a  lot of misconceptions about both the causes of hair loss and how to effectively treat this embarrassing problem.  You can find all kinds of half-truths and outright lies in advertisement for hair growth remedies that are supposed to get hair growing in your bald spot again.  The facts behind balding are really quite well known and so are the effective treatments.  Don’t be scammed by some guy selling a solution that is “guaranteed” to grow hair because, as you know, when it doesn’t work the seller will be no where to be found.

The fact is, 95% of all men who have hair loss suffer from a medical condition called Androgenic Alopecia. This is a genetic problem that is passed down through either the father’s side of the family or the mother’s.  The actual mechanism for hair loss is really quite easy to understand.  A hormonal substance called DHT bonds with the roots of hairs on certain areas of the head.  This causes the hairs to slowly shrink away and then fall out as the nutrient supply is choked off.  Not all areas of the head are affected which is why the condition is commonly referred to as male pattern baldness.  The pattern is usually at the front of the head with a receding hair line or at the crown area on top.

Once the hair follicle has been rendered useless there is no way to get it producing again.  There are a few FDA approved drugs which can slow down the process but they will not regenerate hair.  The only solution is hair implant surgery in which the hair restoration surgeon will remove hair follicles which are still growing from the back of the head and implant them into the balding area.

This is not a cheap procedure and hair implantation costs can range into the thousands of dollars but if you are serious about hair loss this is the most effective treatment to receive.
