Using Omnilux Light Therapy to Cure Acne
Omnilux light therapy uses the healing power of light to treat a variety of dermatological conditions. It is used to treat acne, soften fine lines, and improve skin tone and texture. It is also used for medical destruction of non-melanoma skin cancers. Makeup techniques, even using new airbrush makeup techniques, are temporary solutions to decrease the appearance of acne, while light therapy is an acne cure when combined with continuous use.
Studies have shown that visible red light and infrared light stimulates tissue repair and regeneration at the cellular level. As we age, the skin’s supportive structure begins to repair itself more slowly. Damage from the sun can cause the skin to lose some of its ability to heal itself. Exposure to the proper wavelengths of light boosts the skins natural rejuvenation processes and leave skin looking healthier and younger.
Many anti-aging procedures such as chemical peels and laser treatments deliberately “wound” the skin in order to promote cellular regeneration. When used in combination with these treatments, exposure to red light promotes healing of this deliberate damage, reducing the side effects after treatment and lessening the time it takes for your skin to regenerate. This skin therapy is effective when used in conjunction with micro-dermabrasion, skin peels, Botox injections, dermal fillers, anti-oxidant preparations and laser therapy.
Exposure to different wavelengths of red and blue light is also used to help reduce the incidence of acne. Blue light is used to kill the bacteria that cause acne and can be used to treat patients suffering from inflammatory acne vulgaris, which is not responsive to other treatments. The blue light treatment is then followed by treatment with red light that speeds up the healing of acne lesions by reducing inflammation.
Omnilux light therapy is a natural and effective solution for the treatment of many skin conditions that appear with age including fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and vitiligo. There have been no reported side effects from this treatment, the light source used does not contain harmful UVA, and UVB light rays and will not damage your skin.
