Try A Diesel Automatic Car For Better Efficiency
More and more people are getting worried about the price of fuel for cars and how high it is eventually going to reach. In the US, the price has really been much lower than what the rest of the world has to pay. Two years ago when gasoline was over $4 a gallon and diesel was close to $5 people cried that it was terrible. In reality, we finally were starting to pay what other drives had experienced the world over for years.
Once the gas went back below $3 everything was back to normal and nobody really complained any more. But gas has recently shot past $3 A gallon and it is expected to top $4 again this summer. We are never going to see cheap gas again so why not plan ahead today by getting a new technology diesel automatic car. The new diesel engines are quieter and cleaner than ever before but they still provide better fuel economy than a gasoline engine of the same power class.
A diesel is actually inherently more efficient because it burns the fuel slower which means there is less energy wasted. For a gasoline engine up to 70% of the available energy is lost to the cooling system and out the tail pipe. For a diesel the number is less that 50%. So you can see just from this basis alone the diesel wastes about 30% less and thus is more efficient. This means if you drive a diesel car and a gasoline powered car for a year under the same conditions you can expect the diesel to be around 1/4 cheaper to operate if the per gallon cost of the fuel is the same.
One of the big arguments about diesels has been that they are like trucks. This is no longer true as they are quiet and the automatic transmissions in these diesel cars are very smooth. Find out more about saving transportation costs at the Available Car Guide.
