The Worst Golf Cart Accessories You Can Buy

February 5, 2010 | Author: Admin | Filed under: Recreation and Sports

Everyone out there wants their golf cart to look in top shape.  And to that end people are willing to spend considerable money purchasing items to add to their carts.  The list seems to be never ending.  In fact some have so many golf car accessories that it truly must be an addiction.  To that end this article will focus on the ugliest, worst cart accessories that I have seen with my own two eyes.  I promise you that you won’t be disappointed.

First and foremost on the list has to be the dice in the mirror.  This is a cliché from many movies and popular media, but it is played out on golf carts more often than you think.  Sure you don’t see it if often if the person hasn’t added a golf cart mirror, but none the less it is often used once that item is purchased.  Not only is it tacky, the dice are not exactly the most outdoor friendly thing you can buy.  They look terrible in short order pretty often.

Mud tires for your golf cart have to be in the mix here.  To be sure people that go mudding with their big trucks and SUV’s likely have a great time.  This isn’t the sort of thing you should be doing with a golf cart.  Let’s be honest, even the most souped up golf cart with its governor taken off doesn’t have that much power.  They aren’t designed for it.  So why would you put crazy off roading tires?  That is just ridiculous.  Keep the mudding to your buddies willing to spend the fresh on a big truck.

Finally there are kits available that will get your golf car to resemble an ATV.  Full with splash guards and the whole nine yards.  Again there is a reason that ATV’s were invented and are so popular.  They are designed specifically for off road use and are equipped with impressive features to do just that.  Your golf cart is meant to be driven on pavement or at best rolling hills and fairways!
