Keeping Your Jewelry Safe and Sound

Keeping your jewelry safe and sound results in two things: one is to protect it from any incident of theft and two is to maintain your jewelry items to make them long lasting.  Being constantly vigilant to your own personal belongings as valuable as jewelry would decrease the risk of burglar incident, while organizing jewelry appropriately is relative to proper maintenance.

If you are a jewelry aficionado then you would go to further steps just to keep your most prized jewelry safe and sound.  Depending on the range and extent of your jewelry collections, choose the appropriate jewelry organizers that would ensure your jewelry items so that they would be free from blemishes and scratches.  Numerous jewelry boxes, jewelry chests and jewelry armoires have fabric linings inside and they are highly recommended for jewelry enthusiasts to maintain their radiant qualities.

Some necklace holders and jewelry trees are designed and covered with fabric lining too and perhaps you might prefer them for storing your necklaces and bracelets in one huge jewelry box, which is generally not advisable because it runs the risk of tangles and breaking. Double stacking your jewelry trays is usually not encouraged because they might end up having scratches, so you might be aware of this lest you plan to do it in the future.  The basic mantra in jewelry maintenance is this – never jam-pack all your jewelry items in one single jewelry box if you don’t want to experience how excruciating it is to find that one piece of jewelry you want to wear that certain day.

For this reason make sure you buy a sculpted jewelry tree or a necklace holder, they would be placed in a certain areas of the room where they would be less likely to be ran into. There would be less risk that they might fall occasionally. A stable and well-grounded jewelry holder would increase your assurance of safety and security of your jewels.  If you know how to choose the right jewelry organizer, then you are guaranteed that your jewelry will always appear as new as when you first bought them.

Another way of keeping your most loved jewelry items protected is to buy a hidden compartment safe. They usually come in small packages to accommodate only a single piece of jewelry, but jewelry stores also sell huge jewelry safes for large collections of jewelry.  Having at least one hidden compartment safe is a good idea, so if you can afford it, it is highly recommended that you purchase one.  It would be better if it comes with a password-protect feature or a specialized key for maximum security purposes.  To keep a safe, either conceal it in a hidden corner or place it in a typical place that thieves and burglars might overlook in case they break into your room.  A beautiful jewelry box resting on your table top would attract any thief, but if you hide jewelry in the most unlikely places then they wouldn’t bother looking for them in such a limited time, and instead they would opt to grab the flashiest ones available nearby.
