Astonishing Letter From Conservative Leaders and Lawyers Disproves Romney Claim He 'Defended Marriage' and Rule of Law
Urged him to reverse damage he did to marriage, constitution and rule of law before leaving office  HERE

 

(Jan 2007) A large coalition of conservative leaders, lawyers and groups will release by the weekend a forcefully-worded confidential letter sent to former Governor W. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts before he left office and signed by some forty pro-family and conservative leaders and activists, including some nationally prominent, highly respected names and many of the most influential state-level pro-family leaders in the country. The letter reveals a far wider and more profound rejection of Romney’s recent social conservative pose than that publicly expressed to date. 

It includes striking citations from the state constitution and court rulings debunking Romney’s legal apologists’ claim that he opposed rather than enabled homosexual “marriage.” Strenuously avoided by Romney supporters, these citations establish that Romney went beyond his constitutional authority and even the expectations of the radical Massachusetts judges by ordering officials to act as if homosexual marriage had been legalized, though the statute still forbids it.

Yet the "conservative" establishment -- National Review, the Weekly Standard, the American Spectator, Human Events, Focus On the Family, Tony Perkins' Family Research Council, Limbaugh, Hannity, Gary Bauer, attorneys Sekulow, Hewitt, Coulter, James Bopp, Glendon and others have aggressively propagated Romney's gross deceptions about the law. They avoid any reference to the Massachusetts Constitution because it proves so powerfully that Governor Romney -- not the activist judges, not militant homosexual activists -- created homosexual "marriage."
