It is a good idea to discuss the benefits and possible side effects with your doctor before you start any treatment. Just because a herbal remedy or a supplement is natural, doesn’t mean that it can have side effects.

Remedies with capabilities to reduce the severity of your psoriasis includes Aloe vera, Capsaicin, and Omega-3 fatty acids.

A cream containing aloe vera can help prevent inflammation, itching, scaling, and the skin getting red. The benefits are typically not immediately visible. After using the cream daily for a month or so, you will start to see improvements.

Capsaicin is extracted from chili peppers and can be found in certain creams. It should be applied to the areas of your skin with psoriasis. Preferably daily, or even a couple of times a day. The visibility of the psoriasis will start to be reduced and itching should become less severe.

Be aware, however, that it might burn and slightly hurt, the first times you apply it to your skin. Do not rub your eyes after being in contact with the cream, until you have thoroughly washed your hands.

Omega-3 fatty acids are usually found in in fish oil supplements. They are believed to have many beneficial effects, in general if you do not eat a lot of fish, it is recommended taking this supplement. When it comes psoriasis, Omega-3 fatty acids can help reduce inflammation.

The dosage recommended is usually about 3 grams.

Psoriasis should not be taken lightly. It can greatly affect the psyche of those who suffer from it. Making them feel awkward, different and embarrassed. Some sufferers even start to avoid social contact.

To do something about your condition, find a comprehensive treatment plan. Do not rely on herbal remedies or supplements alone, but they can definitely be an extremely helpful and important part of your treatment. For the best treatment, consult your dermatologist. Together settle on a comprehensive plan, including both conventional medicine, alternative medicine, and take a hard look on your lifestyle choices. Your psoriasis should soon get better!
