The Hummer, no doubt, represents luxury to the extreme. It is a high end vehicle where the last consideration is the fuel economy. Nonetheless, oftentimes a new owner would like to be able to put their own stamp of customization to the vehicle to make it stand out even further. Try these four inexpensive Hummer accessories that will certainly add a little flare to your SUV.

One of the easiest things and probably the least expensive is to replace the fuel door. With a couple of different finishes available including chrome or matted black, the new Hummer fuel door also comes with a lockable feature.

Another option, would be to add a new roof rack to the top of the vehicle if it is not already equipped with this accessory. Like the fuel doors, roof racks typically come in chrome or black and really makes a statement that you are ready for the off road.

Sometimes getting into a Hummer can be a challenge with the height of the vehicle such that it is. Not only does this third option provide practical help for people trying to step up in order to get into it but it also adds to the exterior look of the SUV as well. This accessory is the nerf bar or sometimes called running board. One note of distinction, nerf bars tend to be tubular while running boards are typically flat molded plastic or steel.

Lastly, if you are still looking to add more customization then you might want look at adding a brush guard to the front. Not only does it provide a functional aspect if you take your Hummer off road by keeping limbs and brush away but it also gives the front end a fabulous look.

One final point, these four Hummer accessories can be accomplished by most do-it-yourself types but if for any reason you feel uncomfortable then please take to a mechanic or Hummer authorized body shop.
