Exploring Duluth Motels And Community

We have just checked into the beautiful Inn on Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota, one of the many Duluth Motels available to us. While my husband attends business meetings in the spacious Northern Lights Room, I plan to relax and enjoy the amenities offered here and explore Canal Park shopping, as well as take long leisurely walks on the shoreline boardwalk.

First stop, of coarse, is our room. I check out the view of the lake from our private balcony. Breathtaking! The room is spacious, with plenty of room to stash all my shopping treasures. I try out the bed. It is so comfortable, I could stay here the whole time, if there weren’t so many things to do. We will really enjoy that private whirlpool tonight while sipping wine.

We stroll down to the indoor pool, and then take a trip up to the open-air rooftop pool. I decide to enjoy the indoor pool tonight, while my husband works out in the exercise room before joining me.

In the morning, my husband prepares for his meeting with his laptop, thankful for the free high speed Internet service. I enjoy our whirlpool while waiting for him to finish. Then we head for the complementary breakfast-make-your-own Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs and sausage. I feel like I won’t need any more food all day! Of course I know that with all the great restaurants in Canal Park, I won’t be able to resist lunch and anyway I will use up a lot of calories with all the walking and shopping I intend to do.

My husband heads off to his meeting and I head to the indoor pool for a morning swim and sauna. Next, it is back to the room to get ready for my day. I am thankful for the room amenities-iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and water massage waterpik. I sip on a cup of coffee from the provided coffee pot while I get ready. Next on my agenda is a long walk on the boardwalk enjoying the beauty of the lake, then shop, shop, shop.

There are dozens of other things I will fit into the next few days. My husband will have time to enjoy some of them. We will join the nightly bonfire on the shore for smores, maybe take a romantic carriage ride, and nightly, enjoy the swimming, sauna, and exercise room.  I may even go shopping for a new car bed for our grandson.
