In any endeavor or field, there are always people who will emerge as the best. Their passion and extreme dedication to their craft has put them among the very few who have reached the level of superstardom. They are the people who have brought their skill to a point that made them icons in their respective crafts.

The guitar has its own record of excellent, world class players who shine above all men in the art of guitar-playing. They played so well their guitars seemed to be an extension of their own hands that they know every line, every strand and everything that it can do.

The most famous guitar players on record that ever lived were born in our time. We are very lucky to have witnessed them as their craft brought them to fame. They have become the inspiration to many aspiring musicians, and their music has become a legacy for the world to hear through the ages.

Let me name a few most famous guitar players who had made us a part of their incredible talent, in no particular order:

A. Lester William Polfuss
Also known as Les Paul, Lester Williams Polfuss is one of the greatest guitar players that the world has known. He is an American jazz songwriter and guitarist with stunning guitar tricks and licks whose performances are always a standout.

Les Paul’s concept of the solid-body electric guitar gave birth to rock and roll.

B. Carlos Santana
Carlos Augusto Alves Santana is a Mexican rock guitarist who became famous in the 1960s and 1970s. He blended rock with salsa and jazz to create his own brand of music, which highlighted his sweet blues-based guitar lines set above Latin percussion instruments. He won 10 Grammy Awards and 3 Latin Grammy Awards. In 2003, the Rolling Stone named Santana as the 15th of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

C. James Patrick “Jimmy” Page
A member of the great band of the 1980′s, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page is one of the most influential guitarists and songwriter in the history of rock. Inducted twice in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he was number 9 in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

D. Eric Patrick Clapton
Eric Clapton is an English blues-rock artist known for his conception of the blues rock genre. Like Jimmy Page, he was also inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Rolling Stone placed Eric Clapton as No. 4 in the list of “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”

E. Keith Richards
As the guitarist of one of the world’s most famous band, “The Rollingstones,” Keith Richards is No. 10 in Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”

F. George Harrison

George Harrison is known all over the world as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. He is also known for his great guitar playing skills and ability to play his guitar with emotions. George Harrison has a multitude of followers even after the Beatles disbanded. Many guitar enthusiasts consider George Harrison as the greatest guitarist of rock and roll.

If you would like more information about these famous guitar players and the types of guitar brands that they use, you can visit this site to find more information.

Summer has always inspired many minds and artists, not in the least because of the way the weather changes into a wonderful, almost perfect form. Clear blue skies, warm summer breeze, and the bright, energizing sun are enough to evoke all sorts of emotions and ideas, and a good proof of this is the number of summer songs out there.

The season doesn’t just inspire people to write songs, songs are written about the season. The topics range from what the season does to people, to what the elements of summer mean, to how summer changes lives, and so on.

But perhaps no other topic is as popular to write about when it comes to songs about summer than summer love songs.

These songs are songs about love that are played during summer, songs about love during summer, and songs about love for summer. Songs about how the warm sun reminds the singer of someone they love, how the love of their life’s eyes sparkle like the clear blue ocean waters, and how their love for each other is as hot as the mid-day sun.

Some songs even tell about “summer love”, relationships that last only during summer, that like a supernova in the summer night sky, are brief but beautiful. And some, more passionate singers, would tell about how they can make summer hotter, which can be interpreted in many different ways.

Loves songs like this come from many different genres of music and artists, from soul, to hip-hop and R&B, to pop, even rock. Artists like Brian Adams sings about the “Summer of 69”, talking about “the best days of [his] life” with him and his girl. “Summer Sunshine” by Irish band The Corrs is dark and sad, but has a very upbeat tone that one could interpret as the positive outlook one might feel upon feeling and seeing summer sunshine. And Will Smith’s song about “Summertime” is probably playing on more than one waterproof MP3 player as you read this.

Check out the selection at Craigslost.net if you’re looking for a perfect summer song to add to your playlist.

If you are a musician, then you have either perfected your amp settings, or you are still struggling with learning how to get the right sounds for each song. Many songs, switch things up right in the middle of the song, and there may be a need for different volume or equalizer settings. There may be a certain part of the song that needs more distortion or reverb than the rest. In order to keep the music flowing you need to be able to seamlessly change your amplifier settings. In fact, the uninitiated shouldn’t even know you are making changes. They will just think it is your guitar skills making the different sounds. The perfect way to switch it up while still continuing to play is with a footswitch.

A footswitch is an electronic device that has buttons that you can hit with your foot while playing, and it changes the amp settings. Many vintage footswitches only have one or two buttons and you can use them to toggle certain settings, on and off. The new footswitches come with three or four buttons and have a myriad of settings, including presets. So you can set your presets, toggle through settings, or turn effects like reverb or distortion, on or off.

A popular footswitch is the Fender footswitch. Fender is one of the most popular and well known makers of electric guitars and amplifiers. They also produce many guitar and amp accessories such as the discrete, but useful footswitch. When you are playing for an audience you want the show to be perfect, and a perfect way to keep the show running smoothly, is to be able to make subtle sound changes without anyone noticing, what is going on. Playing takes patience and practice, but having the right equipment, like a footswitch and a amp case, can help make the job easier.

When I was learning to play on my electronic piano I didn’t care about learning scales or reading music, all I wanted to do was learn songs. It is surprising that so many piano teachers still try and stop pupils learning songs; they seem to think the relentless playing of scales is more appropriate. But that’s what learning the piano is all about, learning songs! The thrill of accomplishment you feel when you’ve mastered your favourite song, drives you to hone your piano playing and I believe it is essential to try and have as much fun as possible at the early stages of learning piano. In writing this article I aim to show the reader that they can play thousands of different songs by learning 5 easy piano chords.

This article aims to help those who are just starting out, to learn a few songs which will hopefully get them excited about improving their skills. Contrary to common belief this can be done quite easily if you use the right piano chords, even if you only truly master 3 chords you could play thousands of songs! But upon writing this article I wanted to take this one step further, I thought to myself ‘what are the most chords used in popular music today?’ The answer is C, D, G, Am and Em, using only these 5 easy piano chords you can play a huge amount of hits.

The chords mentioned above are the most frequently occurring notes in the key of c and once you’ve mastered these you’re going are going to be amazed at how many songs you can play. This article is not going to provide detailed guidelines on fingerings; these are explained far better on a piano chords chart which you can find quite easily on the web. What this article aims to do is get you to realise that no matter what your musical tastes, I guarantee, if you learn these chords you will be able to play at least a handful of your favourite tracks.

Using these chords you can play; A king is born, Scars, Don’t look back in anger, Hey Jude, I am the Highway and many a whole lot more, I am telling you that it takes far less effort to learn songs than you could possibly imagine. Of course these chords do have their limitations, fans of jazz music aren’t going to find much to work with here, they may be better off learning a selection of jazz piano chords. But the principle remains the same; most artists just stick to the same old collection of chords when writing songs.

There you go, using only C, D, G, Am and Em you have the potential to play thousands of songs. You needn’t spend hours and hours learning just one song, its far better to spend your time learning loads at once! The great thing about this method is you can apply these chords to all whole range of songs which aren’t even in the key of c, along as they follow the same chord sequence.

I love to sit around the campfire or the living room or even after a dinner party and play the acoustic guitar. It is such a social instrument and it really brings a group of people together for singalongs and great fun. My instrument of choice is a Gibson acoustic guitar named the Hummingbird. This guitar has such a huge sound and it is great for playing with a crowd when you don’t want or need to be plugged in or have a pickup powered guitar.

This one time, a group of my friends and I were on a camping trip and as per usual we brought out our guitars and sat around the campfire after dinner. My good friend Russ has many acoustic guitar instruments, including a couple of Gibsons that he usually brings on camping trips. But this time, he brought a new addition to his collection: a Washburn C-111S classical flamenco guitar. This thing was absolutely stunning. He had been practicing flamenco behind my back and he was actually pretty damn good. I joined in the best I could, playing my own style over his and it started to sound awesome. It was a power chord medley that I was playing over top of his Spanish riffs. By the end of the night we had some other campers from the site that had joined around our group. We called our finished product, Flam-metal, . Pretty catchy. We actually cut a few tracks together playing this new style; not for resale, just for family and friends.

My Gibson Hummingbird has been through some intense gigs and it is just such a wonderful guitar that if anything ever happened to it I would be pretty devastated. I would recommend one to anyone. They aren’t overly cheap but well worth the money for a USA hand made acoustic guitar with quality wood, bridge, neck and fretboard.

I look forward to sharing the next musical genre that my wacky friends and I create.

There are two main types of guitar cases: soft and hard. Both have their own advantages, depending on what you plan on doing with your guitar. Soft guitar cases are more flexible overall, while hard guitar cases offer maximum protection. Soft guitar cases also perform the same basic needs as hard guitar cases. Both protect the guitar from dust and light scratches.

A soft guitar case is lighter, so it is more mobile. It is a good choice if you plan to carry it around to other locations, such as a gig. In fact, sometimes soft guitar cases are referred to as a “gig bag”. They also normally include pockets for storing other guitar related items. Hard cases only have space for the guitar. Some soft cases also include backpack straps for easy carrying.

Soft guitar cases are also much cheaper than hard guitar cases. A hard guitar case is tougher, which makes the price higher since more expensive material is used. Meanwhile, a soft guitar case is usually made out of polyester or nylon. This makes soft cases more flexible and can be folded when not in use. Electric guitar cases usually have fitted interiors to insure the guitar stays in one place.

There are a few things to consider when shopping for a guitar case. The size and shape of your guitar is important. Fitted padding inside won’t do you any good if your guitar cannot fit inside. Have a good idea of the size when you’re shopping. Also decide which you desire more, cost or durability. If you’re just starting out with your guitar and not sure whether or not you’re going to stick with it, a cheaper guitar case is best for you. If you’re a more seasoned guitar player, something with a little more padding is a good idea. The longer you plan on owning your guitar case, the more you should plan on paying for it.

One of the most famous dance moves in history is probably the moonwalk. It has actually been around for a long time, but was definitely made most famous after Michael Jackson performed it in a fateful Motown performance. A look at this video shows him to be the true showman that he is and he managed to take the dance move and propel it into something that it wasn’t able to become previously.

Michael Jackson definitely had a knack of making things look bigger than reality, but for some reason his dance moves that played with gravity have been particularly captivating. In addition to the moonwalk, he actually created a pair of patented boots that would allow him and his dancers to lead forward at a forty five degree angle on the stage. A little gap in the heal of the shoe was able to lock onto a hitch on stage and stabilize the dancers when they leaned at an impossible angle.

Although you might not be able to craft some of these shoes yourself, you can probably give the moon walk a shot. Even if you’re not successful you can be pretty sure that you will have had fun doing it. As a first try (and probably the easiest way to give the moon walk appearance), stand on a hard slippery surface like a tile floor, wearing a pair of socks. Bend one of your legs and keep it under you and extend the other in front of you so that it is hovering over the ground. Keep that leg straight and slide it across the ground under you before making it the bent leg and straightening the other. Then repeat the process. It’s not too difficult, but it’s a fun way to give his moves a shot.

If you would like to read more about trying to defy gravity, you can visit AntiGravityBoots.net. There’s no question that we would all love a pair of anti gravity boots, and for now the type patented by Michael Jackson is probably the closest we will come. But at least for now we can walk on the moon the way he does.

While the session view is the main focus for new producers just getting into Ableton Live, the arrange view has plenty to offer in terms of efficient music creation. New producers shouldn’t be afraid to get their feet wet in both of these views since they have distinct workflows that will be useful in most all situations. Let’s take a look at the differences between them.

The session view is the element of Ableton Live which most people are attracted to when they first pick up the program. It is the two dimensional grid that allows you to insert clips of musical information on vertical tracks which can in turn be triggered in horizontal “scenes.” Using this simple yet amazingly effective paradigm, Ableton has introduced an incredible way to bridge the gap between ideas and complete compositions. Just try out different combinations of clips, capturing the good ideas into scenes which can be recorded into the arrange view later.

Speaking of the arrange view, this is the other half of Live which is much less often focused on. This is the typical way of writing music that people are used to from some of the more traditional music software available online. You can drag clips from the session view or create new information right in the arrange view, lining up the notes to create a complete composition. Additionally, you can create automation data for the various synth and effect parameters, introduction animation and movement into your song.

The above was just a small taste of what Ableton Live is all about. If you are looking for Ableton Tutorials online, you can find plenty of video tutorial packages at Nickstutorials. There are plenty of other names as well, and a simple internet search will turn up plenty of talented people who will give you the nitty gritty on this incredible program!

Composers still rely on a piano to compose music, but these days a composer can take advantage of digital music keyboards such as arrangers or workstations to facilitate recording ideas, music notation, and hearing a complete arrangement of their work in real time. The workstation is the more versatile music keyboard that now also combines the functionality of arrangers. Here is how this type of music keyboard instrument can assist composers.

The arranger functionality allows one to quickly get ideas down for a chord progression and melody and have a fully fleshed-out instrumental arrangement playing in the style you’re composing in, all in real time. The keyboard is divided into two sections: the bottom two octaves or so are where you play the chords (or often just the tonic note of the chord will do) and the rest of the keyboard is available to play the lead. Simply select the style (such as jazz, rock, ballad), the tempo, and start playing. You’ll hear a backing track playing and the music changing to the chords you play. You can select the instrument you want to use for the lead from a large selection of instrument voices. This is a great way to hear an idea of what the finished composition will sound like as you’re composing the music.

Workstations these days have a built-in sequencer, which allows a composer to notate the individual instrument parts using the keyboard and later have the keyboard play these parts using the high-quality built-in instrument voices. This allows one to hear what the instruments will sound like together which can make a difference in terms of instrument registration and combinations. Many workstations (and arrangers) can connect to a computer via MIDI and control a software-based sequencer on the computer to achieve the same results. The MIDI sequences can be edited and then easily printed into professionally formatted sheet music, which is another time saving feature for composers.

Last, but not least, workstations offer the ability to record your playing so that any bursts of inspiration are easily saved. Because the music information captured by the keyboard is stored in MIDI, one can be recording for a long time since MIDI information requires little space. This way, a composer can capture ideas on the keyboard, or by combining the methods mentioned above, and later go back to them.

A workstation can be challenging to master at first since there are a lot of buttons and functions to learn, but once mastered it can be a highly useful, time-saving, and fun digital instrument to use when composing music. There are many workstation models out there, made by manufacturers such as Yamaha, Roland, and Casio. The Music Keyboards Guide is a good site on sorting out the various models and choosing the right instrument.

Karaoke can be a fun experience and for many people around the world, the local karaoke bar is a favourite destination for the occasional night out on the town. There is something unique and special about the combination of music, singing, drinks, and good friends that allows for an intriguing mix of laughter and performance that is unmatched in any other activity. Some people enjoy karaoke in their spare time so much that they have setup karaoke systems in their very own houses to recreate the experience of a karaoke bar or club.

If you are looking into creating a dedicated setup in your home for personal use, this article will present some of the benefits of having your own karaoke home machine. The first advantage is simple convenience as it is entirely viable to set up a system that sounds great in the middle of your own recreation space or even in your bedroom. And from there you gain the benefit of comfort as you no longer have to trek out among total strangers since you can relax in your own home and you don’t even have to get dressed up if you don’t feel like being fancy. The comfort factor is interesting because you can ultimately choose precisely who you want to bring into your world of singing and performance – that means your friends and your family.

Gone will be the days when you have to put up with big unnecessary egos or other singers who monopolize popular songs by certain celebrities, claiming that those songs belong to them. There is nothing worse than a karaoke bully, and with a decent machine for karaoke in your home you won’t ever have to deal with unwanted and uncomfortable karaoke drama again. The final and perhaps most important factor to consider is the cost because while a good high-end karaoke system may be costly at first, it will only take a few uses over the first few months for it to pay for itself. Karaoke is a fun pastime and whether you are a casual or hardcore fan, the wide range of features and products available on the market makes karaoke a reasonably affordable home activity.
