Regina Jeffers has written another beautiful love story, Darcy’s Dreams. Darcy finally feels as if his life is complete after he marries Elizabeth Bennet. When he learns that His bride is caring the heir for Pemberley, he feels as though he can bring the entire estate into a new age by investing in the technology of the ever industrializing nation.

As the unthinkable begins to happen, Darcy is badly injured and loses all memory of his beloved wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth Darcy, nee Bennet, finds her self trying to once again win the love of Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, her once husband. She has to show him all over again who she truly is and why she is worthy to be the mistress of his estate. If she is not able to win his love once again she risks her place in society, but also that of their still unborn child.

Though Darcy remembers the deep passion he feels for her, he is not yet able to reconcile with the expectations of familial duty and honor, or worse those of greater society. In trying to win him again, Elizabeth finds she must also protect herself from the rude assumptions that he voices.

Regina Jeffers is able to mix old characters with new, exciting storylines and the outcome which are absolutely memorable. Jeffers has no problem bringing the Regency era to life and recreating a thoroughly snobbish Fitzwilliam Darcy. This story is yet another excellent variation to the many well-written P & P sequels that pick up where Jane Austen left off.

It takes true talent to take a classic piece of literature, put a twist on it, and still stay true to the characters. Regina Jeffers has wowed us with this amazing work of art which does just that. This Darcy and Elizabeth are the main characters that everyone has been so deeply intrigued with, nothing more and nothing less. The author has effectively written a plot in which the characters fit into perfectly.

In this interesting novel Elizabeth and Darcy have to find some sort of balance in their lives, while the take a winding journey back to the love and happiness they had found. We journey along with them as they try to rebuild there futures together. We witness the good times and the bad times as well. In getting to see the whole story we have a better understanding of their lives together, rather that bits and pieces here and there.

Darcy’s Dreams by Regina Jeffers is a beautifully written a romance novel that is just as entertaining as it is imaginable. As we read about Elizabeth and Darcy’s long road to love, we are nothing less than satisfied when it is all said and done. If you have enjoyed other Regina Jeffers novels, this one is just as good. Be sure not to miss it!

Andrew Warhola, who is also more popular with the nickname Andy Warhol, is a famous painter who was the monument of pop art movement that started in 1960s. One of his famous paintings were paintings of Marilyn Monroe, who were committed suicide in 1962. It is interesting to stated that his aim was to mass-produce all his paintings by using a method called silk screen that allows enlarging and transferring photo images and paintings on to silk. And all different colors were printed on to a screen using a rubber squeegee.

It may come as a surprise to you by in Andy Warhol paintings of Marilyn Monroe, he used a photograph by Gene Korman from a publicity shoot for the film – Niagara. In that particular painting he used only one color: green, blue, lemon yellow turquoise. And after that using silk he screened her face on the top and thus he successfully created different styles and depicted a lot of different colors. There were paintings where she was either by herself, multiplied in a grid or doubled. It took him four months, and in 1967 he launched a portfolio of all his Marilyn Monroe paintings.

A lot of art lovers ask the question why Andy Warhol painted her. There is answer of that question and it is his interested in fame. Yes he wanted to become famous and that inspired him to make these paintings, and also his admiration to her as a star. As a lot of other people he was fascinated by her beauty but that is normal. Unique to him was the fact that he thought of her as a person who was not only beautiful but also dark and mysterious.

She was also the person who inspired him to create his most famous saying=” fifteen minutes of fame”, because he observe how celebrities like her catches the public’s attention for a very short time and after that everyone forgot about them.

Are you planning a career as an actor or actress? It is recommended that you do extensive research first regarding the acting industry. Landing a role is quite hard for veterans, and thus even harder for newcomers. Having the look is a great advantage even if you don’t have any experience yet, but still it is not a sure ticket to getting the roles that you want.

Perhaps the best thing is to prepare yourself by attending acting classes or short term training courses in acting. That would give you an edge over other aspiring actors with less formal training. Also if you have the looks of a star coupled with a good acting talent, then it won’t be that hard for you to get a job.

One very important thing when you are applying for acting jobs is to spend some time creating a really good acting resume. The first thing to do is find yourself a good photographer who is experienced in taking headshots. Just like a good modeling resume, an acting resume should include your best headshot. The next step is to find a good acting resume format. A good resume format will include all of the following details:

First, your complete contact information like your name, address, phone number and e-mail should normally appear at the very top of the page.

Second, indicate your height, weight, eye color and hair color.

Third is your work experience. Type in the heading experience and list down all your experience from your most recent ones. Make sure to write down all important details on each experience you have. Make a sub heading if you have various experience in films, television, theaters or commercials.

Fourth, mention any training that you have along with any special skills that you have.

When you are done, edit your resume again to make sure the most important details stick out. Be sure to pare everything down to a single page.

When all is done and your resume printed, then you can attach it with your headshot and you are ready for your first audition.

Magic, it has entertained and baffled crowds for thousands of years. Magicians have been making the impossible seem possible ever since the days of the Roman empire. But magic is not really magic, it is all based on the psychology of deception. To be able to pull off a trick, it is vital that the magician is able to keep his audience from realizing what he is really doing. If the magician can hold the audiences attention, then all he would need is a very small amount of apparatus and some skill of the hand. Sometimes distracting the audiences mind during the trick is just as important as distracting there eyes.

Some magic tricks are fairly simple and easy to learn, for example magic card tricks using a deck of cards are usually the first tricks a magician will attempt to perform to an audience. There are hundreds of different card tricks. Using these tricks is a good way to gauge an audiences attention to detail and if practiced often these kind of magic tricks rarely, if ever, fail. A lot of the skill involved in card tricks is timing and a quick slide of hand, although some of the illusion like card tricks, such as the levitating card, do involve contraptions or strings to complete the illusion.

It seems that magic tricks have become more and more complex and complicated over time. Some of the more modern tricks that you can see performed on television take a large crew of people to assist the magician in successfully completing the trick. Mechanics are often used in the more elaborate tricks as well as placed lighting and smoke.Vast amounts of supplies and equipment are used to perform the magic trick. Most of it is never seen by the audience.

The more flashing lights and loud music being played during the performance, the easier it is distract the audience from what is really happening and not have the magic tricks revealed. Some magic tricks today involve nothing more then mirrors, like with the disappearing military tank act, the tank actually really does not go anywhere, the perception of the audiences view is obscured by mirrors only making it appeared to have disappeared.

Magicians tricks are a form of entertainment that has survived time thus far and will probably be around for thousands of more years. Who knows, one day they might figure out how to make a building disappear.

Growing up, I wish someone had pointed out how beautiful graffiti art can be. It has such negative connotations all the time that it is hard to look at graffiti with an open mind and appreciate some of the stuff that is truly impressive art. It has been just within recent time that it has really gained appreciation around the world with artists such as Banksy pulling it full force into the mainstream. I would have never guessed that a graffiti artist would manage to gain worldwide recognition in the way that several have, with art shows, displays, and pieces of art being bought by graffiti and art enthusiasts alike.

Although the graffiti that has been more familiar for a long time was probably where artists like Banksy got their start, it is with stencil graffiti art that they really found their style. By using stencils, these artists were able to put their creations up on walls with much less time than would take with the normal style and left a very distinctive style up around cities. Although there were probably several artists to use the technique before him, Blek le Rat from France is labeled as the godfather of the art. At first, he used stencils to paint rats around Paris. There is an article about him on GraffitiBlackbook.net that discusses where you can see pictures from his graffiti blackbook.

It’s impressive to see the shows put on by these artists at this point because it shows how far they have come. Their original pieces that decorate cities are still amazing and difficult to ever top, but witnessing a pet shop of animatronic animals pop up in the middle of New York City is a pretty impressive thing. And seeing a gallery filled with the creations of someone who could have been arrested for his tagging shows how respected his work has become. Clearly graffiti art is being appreciated much more than it was in the past and it’s nice that so many people are recognizing what goes into the creations of these artists.

Of all the creators of Christmas Scenes in history, no company stands out the way Currier & Ives does. Founded in the middle of the nineteenth century by Nathaniel Currier and James Merritt Ives, this New York printmaking firm was dedicated to providing affordable prints for people across the United States.

Though they did not limit themselves in any way to the holidays, their winter and Christmas prints have become popular icons. They hired Connecticut artist George Durrie to create original images of rural New England in the cold months. Durrie proceeded to churn out horse drawn sleighs crossing snowy fields, children skating on clear ice, and carolers singing Christmas Carols while snow fell around them.

Each of these images was then drawn with a grease pen or crayon onto limestone. The surface was covered with both water and ink and a special press applied thick paper to the image – when it was lifted, the image was pressed deep into the paper. An assembly line of colorists worked diligently with colored pencils and inks to fill in each of the images, brightening them and making them more festive.

Currier & Ives created more than one million lithographs using this method. They dominated the nineteenth century popular art scene.

The images weren’t just limited to lithographs. Makers of dinnerware emblazoned their coffee mugs and plates with images of Currier & Ives, creating Christmas place settings that carried with them images of Christmas. There were books and even calendars.

These days, Currier & Ives images continue to fascinate us. Original prints are highly sought after, and reproductions continue to flood commercial markets on everything from wall hangings to tea pots to Christmas cards.

The winter and holiday images created by Currier and Ives – designed with the average family in mind – have not lost their appeal. They continue to help define the meaning of a true Christmas scene.

Halloween parties are always a lot of fun. It is the one night of the year that you can dress like anything, or become anyone, that you want. It is a simple way to live out a few of your secret fantasies. With the sheer number of costume choices available it is easy to get a bit overwhelmed. To help simply the process here are three things you need to consider when selecting your costume this year.

What Do You Want to Be
The first thing you must do is narrow down your choices. It helps to think in terms of selecting a specific style or character that you think would be fun. For example, fairy costumes are always extremely popular, but if you do a quick search you will find that there are actually hundreds, if not thousands, of variations on this outfit. From dark fairy costumes to green fairy costumes you can find an outfit to match almost any type of personality perfectly.

Determine Your Size
All too often we have a tendency to guess of size. There is nothing worse than finding the perfect costume only to find out that you are actually a bit larger (or smaller) than you thought. Have a friend that you trust takes your measurements. A few seconds of time now will save you a ton of frustration later.

Is the Costume Appropriate
It cannot be stressed enough that you should carefully consider the appropriateness of your costume with respects to the event you are attended. While it may be perfectly accepted to wear a short tavern wench costume to your college frat party, it may cause some serious issues if you showed up to your office’s Halloween party wearing the same outfit.

When selecting your costume ask yourself what the typical guest at the party will think about your outfit. If it is too sexy, or revealing, then perhaps you should opt for a different look. When in doubt, always err on the side of caution.

Find a great Halloween costume should not be difficult it you take a few seconds and consider these three factors. One thing you should definitely remember is to have fun and try to create memories that will last a lifetime.

If you really want to be a good artist, you’re going to need the determination to succeed, because it takes a lot of practice. Without determination, your interest will fade over time and you won’t put in the time and effort required to learn. Of course you’ll make mistakes and lots of really bad drawings before you make your first good one, but this is all a part of the process of learning. Failure is the best teacher there is.

You’ll need the right resources and teachers to guide you on your artists journey. Surround yourself with other artists, look at their works, learn from them, ask them for feedback, etc. Your way of learning may differ from other people’s ways of learning, so figure out what works best for you… is it watching others on video, learning from a teacher one-on-one, or teaching yourself by using instructions from a book or the internet?

Whichever path you choose, you’re going to need some supplies. There are lots of different kinds of pencils out there, but you should probably stick with the cheapest ones you can find at first. Because you’re going to be using up a lot of graphite with all your practice drawings, you won’t want to have to spend more money than necessary. Once you get better you can buy some higher quality supplies though.

Try to draw things you actually like, if you draw things that you find boring, you won’t be motivated to finish the drawing – it will just seem too much like work. Also, it will help you to understand your subject if it’s something you are already interested in. Say for instance you want to know how to draw a car – you’ll need to have a good idea of what it looks like, its proportions, perspective, etc. Drawing is just a skill, but it also requires understanding of whatever it is you’re trying to draw.

Being an artist will change how you look at the world.

Composers still rely on a piano to compose music, but these days a composer can take advantage of digital music keyboards such as arrangers or workstations to facilitate recording ideas, music notation, and hearing a complete arrangement of their work in real time. The workstation is the more versatile music keyboard that now also combines the functionality of arrangers. Here is how this type of music keyboard instrument can assist composers.

The arranger functionality allows one to quickly get ideas down for a chord progression and melody and have a fully fleshed-out instrumental arrangement playing in the style you’re composing in, all in real time. The keyboard is divided into two sections: the bottom two octaves or so are where you play the chords (or often just the tonic note of the chord will do) and the rest of the keyboard is available to play the lead. Simply select the style (such as jazz, rock, ballad), the tempo, and start playing. You’ll hear a backing track playing and the music changing to the chords you play. You can select the instrument you want to use for the lead from a large selection of instrument voices. This is a great way to hear an idea of what the finished composition will sound like as you’re composing the music.

Workstations these days have a built-in sequencer, which allows a composer to notate the individual instrument parts using the keyboard and later have the keyboard play these parts using the high-quality built-in instrument voices. This allows one to hear what the instruments will sound like together which can make a difference in terms of instrument registration and combinations. Many workstations (and arrangers) can connect to a computer via MIDI and control a software-based sequencer on the computer to achieve the same results. The MIDI sequences can be edited and then easily printed into professionally formatted sheet music, which is another time saving feature for composers.

Last, but not least, workstations offer the ability to record your playing so that any bursts of inspiration are easily saved. Because the music information captured by the keyboard is stored in MIDI, one can be recording for a long time since MIDI information requires little space. This way, a composer can capture ideas on the keyboard, or by combining the methods mentioned above, and later go back to them.

A workstation can be challenging to master at first since there are a lot of buttons and functions to learn, but once mastered it can be a highly useful, time-saving, and fun digital instrument to use when composing music. There are many workstation models out there, made by manufacturers such as Yamaha, Roland, and Casio. The Music Keyboards Guide is a good site on sorting out the various models and choosing the right instrument.
