Burn Notice TV Show Secret Clue – Did You Catch It?

February 14, 2010 | Author: Admin | Filed under: Arts and Entertainment,Movies and Television

From Free Otter Mail to secret intelligence spy agencies craziness, my friends all love the dramatic, comedic TV series called Burn Notice.

They are absolutely crazy about it. They think of it as American audio-visual arts at their best.

Personally, I had no idea what they were talking about. Who would want to watch a show called Burn Notice?

I figured it must be about weed abatement, and burning weeds on the side of the highway. Since I grew up in a fire-prone area, that was my best and most logical guess!

Then I found out it’s kind of a CIA, FBI, intelligence agency, spy thriller show.

It took me longer to find out what the actual definition of a Burn Notice was. It was more than a title. Geez, who knew!

The story goes that burn notices are broadcast when one of the spy guys makes a booboo or gets caught doing something bad, and the acency takes action to fire or take away his credibility.

Now it kind of starts to make sense, more sense than people raving about a show about flaming dried weeds.

Here is some more stuff I learned about the show Burn Notice:

- The main creators is Matt Nix.

- Actors on the program include Sharon Gless, Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell, and Jeffrey Donovan.

- The original premier episode was presented by Direct TV without any commercials. That’s why it was only an hour, instead of 90 minutes.

- Originally, the setting for the show was the city of Newark in New Jersey.

- The filming lights were so hot when filming a restaurant scene (the one where Sammy meets the G-men), that the glass cracked and crumbled into a mass of shattered glass.

- The drug case for moving the drugs is a real model used with the AN/USM 323, which is military issue of a HP 8640M, and weights approximately twenty-five pounds without any contents.

- The 007 type tricks and tools that Michael constructs, are actually the creation of the scenery and special effects experts on the show– the ideas come to physical fruition by the combined efforts of the writers, production staff, the prop chairman, and special effects department. Character Michael’s gadgets are fabricated by the Special Effects Department’s genius Michael Doyle.

- The business card that referred to guest star Tim Matheson’s role on Animal House showed a website name that really exists at
Free Otter Mail .

How wild is that! I love this spy stuff!

Now, hard to believe considering where I started, I’ve caught the Burn Notice fan bug! Maybe I’ll even visit the Burn Notice Free Otter Mail dotcom place on the web.
