Antivirus Portable Software

Antivirus portable is a must have tool for computer owners and techies alike.  It becomes extremely helpful when working on multiple computers.  This software is a life-saver when you work on a machine that doesn’t have anti-virus software or when that system has been compromised.  The portable antivirus finds, removes, and isolates each virus to allow the technician to bring the system back to its original state.  It does this by scanning various components of the computer.  The way this software works is it is a small piece of code that is stored on a USB device which runs independantly from the computer system.  The key piece of information to understand is that because it lives independently of the computer itself, it is not effected by the contagious virus.

It is able to boot the computer off of the USB device, which bypasses the systems boot files that may be infected.  Another neat tool that antivirus portable software can come with is the activity monitor.  Troubleshooting becomes much easier when you can monitor the network activity and independently scan the computer for any malicious code.  This monitor is a true firewall that explains the traffic flow in order to detect a worm that may be trying to replicate itself across your home or office network.  In any case, we recommend that you look for a piece of portable software that contains bootable system files and integrates the portable firewall.   There are many choices on the internet, choose wisely.

Portable ClamWin is well trusted piece of software.  Whatever you do, make sure you have a USB thumb drive with this special software on it – you are definitely going to need it.    When that vicious worm or virus attacks, you will need many types of software in your tool bag; especially the antivirus portable software.  Someday you will be thankful for this advice – trust us!
