All About Manicure Tables

Nail technicians need their manicure nail tables as they provide a stable working surface for them to use to attend to their client’s nails. They are much smaller than office desks and they usually come with adjustable lamps for improved lighting when manicuring and padded hand rests to provide comfort for clients. They often come with wheels to make them easier to move around the salon and some form of storage drawer or drawers.

When you come to choosing your manicure table you will be met with various options including the mobile, portable (ie, foldable) or fixed types. They can be made from different materials such as steel, wood or glass and as well as how this makes their designs more varied it can also contribute to how heavy they are. Mobile or fixed tables cannot be folded like the portable models, so are no good if you need to clear the table away for space reasons after use or if you plan on visiting clients at their homes. Fixed manicure tables are generally heavier and come with more drawers. They are less easy to move around but allow you to declutter your work top as you can tidy away your tools. Tables with wheels are best if they come with a wheel lock so that you can anchor them when in use so that they don’t accidentally get knocked during the middle of a delicate procedure. Some tables do not come with accessories such as the lamp or arm rests but these can be bought separately.

There are many used manicure tables available so if your budget is tight these can be a good option. Just because they are not brand new does not mean that they are worn out. Many just need a good clean or the odd repair here and there.  Many suppliers of discount salon equipment refurbish their second hand models so you won’t even have to lift a finger to save yourself a few dollars.
