Add Red To Your Kitchen

January 31, 2010 | Author: Admin | Filed under: Home,Kitchen Improvements

The kitchen is not just meant for cooking.  We all know that the kitchen is the room in the house where family congregates during special occasions and where friends inevitably wind up when you have company over.  In most cases, kitchens are neutral.  So, why not brighten it up with some red kitchen accessories.

You do not have paint a wall or do anything permanent or drastic.  Red appliances can do wonders for your décor and will brighten up the most neutral living space.  You can search the internet or hit the nearest department store.  Red appliances are all the rage right now.  By adding a bright, cherry red toaster over or a bright red blender, you are adding a little pop to the kitchen.

Red Kitchen accessories add a little accent to the rather neutral tones that are typically found in a kitchen.  If you keep a Utensil holder on your kitchen counter, a few red accessories will help to add a little color.  Go out and purchase a red spatula, slotted spoon and whisk.  Having these three little red kitchen accessories on your counter top will brighten up your workspace.

Red kitchen accessories are daring.  It is like the one house on the block that has a red front door, everyone comments on how nice it looks but only few will dare to try it themselves.  Red kitchen accessories make your kitchen fun and welcoming.  To accent your red kitchen appliances try adding a bowl to the center of your eating area, whether it is an island with stools or a kitchen table.  Fill the bowl with bright red apples, real or fake, either will get the job done.  Add some other inexpensive kitchen accessories as well.  A few bright red oven mitts and dish towels and a sink drain stopper.  All of these items will add warmth and welcome to your home.
