A Review of the Batmobile: Ultimate Collector’s Edition 7784 LEGO Set

Lego has provided quality builder sets for many generations and the Lego Batmobile: Ultimate Collector’s Edition 7784 is just another example of the fine quality provided by the Lego company. The sides are streamlined. The wheels have the Batman logo on them. The front of the Lego Batmobile shows Batman’s head and the doors open upward to form bat wings. The rear of the vehicle has two turbines complete with fake flames. To enhance the features of the Lego Batmobile, Lego added the parts for a fully detailed interior which can be seen when the doors are open. Inside has a red seat and the steering wheel turns to open a bat shield. Most of the 1045 Lego blocks are black. There are a few yellow Lego blocks for brake lights and some white ones for the detail on the engine. Red Lego blocks are used for the rear flames and Batman’s car seat. The completed Lego set measures 17.5 Inches long by 6 inches wide and weighs 4 pounds. This Lego product is recommended for children between 10-14 years old.

To compliment this set, the Lego Group also brought out the Lego Batman and the Lego Riddler mini figures. The Lego Batman figure is primarily grey with black detail for the body and the black cape and the Batman mask, yellow utility belt, and the black bat on the torso. The Lego Riddler figure wears a green suit with a purple question mark on the chest and a purple belt. This is completed with black hair and a purple mask. Both of these Lego Batman figures are 2 inches long and filled with detail. The one interesting flaw in both of these Lego products is the fact that neither has any eyes.  These are two of the easier to find Batman mini figures.  Because Batman and Robin appear in many of this theme of Lego sets they are much easier to find than Catwoman or Bane.

As always, Lego has outdone itself with the creation of its Lego Batman Collection. While the Lego Group has all but discontinued the Batman theme it remains one of the more popular collectors line of Lego sets.  Because of the high demand and low supply of Lego Batman sets, they can be very expensive.  This set of toys continues a long line of high quality detailed Lego building sets produced by the Lego Corporation. It will be interesting to see what they come out with next.
