A look At Movies About Magic

Movies about magic have always intrigued the movie goer. They give the watcher an element of fantasy with a twist of action. Some of the magic movies are comedies and some are not so funny. From G rated to R rated there is sure to be a magic movie magic movie that everyone will enjoy.

When the talk of movies and magic are formed in the same sentence the name Mary Poppins comes to mind. Mary Poppins is a cute Disney movie that involves a magical nanny and two children who are looking for attention from their banker father. With the help of Mary Poppins and the chimney sweep the children are taken on a great adventure before their happy ending.

Practical Magic is a movie about two sisters that are raised with a curse. Centuries before the sisters were born an ancestor of theirs put a curse on the female line. The curse is set so that they should never fall in love. The curse held true until the two sisters and their two aunts find a way to break it.

Harry Potter is a well known movie about magic and a magic school. Harry finds he has magical powers and leaves his grumpy aunt and uncle’s home to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft. Through the many sequels we watch Harry grow up and encounter many problems along the way.

The Chronicles of Narnia is a movie that starts out with four children being moved to a safer home far away from the war. In their new home they discover the wardrobe that leads them into a magical world filled with many adventures for the four. This movie is based on the classic novel written by C.S. Lewis.

Bewitched the movie is based on the popular television show that started in 1964. In the movie the actors are trying to recreate the television show and in the process Jack finds out that Isabel is in fact exactly like Samantha.

Halloween Town is a cute kid’s movie where a teenage girl finds out that her mother and grandmother are both magical. With the help of her grandmother the teen takes a trip to Halloween Town and finds a whole new world where witches, ghosts and goblins all walk the streets.

In the movie The Illusionist a magician uses his powers on the girl he professes to love. He uses his powers to steal her away from another man.

The Craft is a movie about four teenage girls who practice magic together. Three of the girls tend to like the black magic aspect while the other teen girl tries to make them see things differently. When they do not see eye to eye the three girls try to take out.
