Go carts come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and designs. You can get them with different sized motors also. Some of the coolest things about them are that they go fast and kids usually have a blast riding them. You can purchase racing carts of ones for leisure or just fun. Racing go carts have bigger motors and look like a miniature race car. They also have high performance parts, which are used to make them perform faster and better. You can buy parts for these online or some stores sell parts and carts all over the place. If you want you may build and fabricate your own go cart in your own garage at home.

You can find plans online at various website and through catalogs. You can weld metal tubing together to form a chassis for your cart. Then you follow the instructions to figure out how to attach your wheels, seat, accelerator, brakes and steering wheel. Usually, the motor goes in the rear, you can use a lawnmower motor or and yard equipment that may have a big enough motor to propel you. If you want a faster cart you would want to get an engine from an old snowmobile or dirt bike. You can then figure out a paint scheme for your cart, and personalize it to for your personality. There are places you can order decals or you can make your own.

There are also groups you can join where you can get together and race the go carts. There are even events you can attend with all age groups competing against one another for trophies and prizes. This is a popular even for father and son to attend together. This allows them to bond while racing their carts with others father and son groups and the occasional father daughter pair. There are events such as championships races as well, where serious prizes are awarded.

Kids and adults enjoy these activities because they bring fun and togetherness for friends and family. Many people also enjoy the racing that goes with carting. Not only can you win money and prizes but it is also very fun. You can find a plethora of information through the internet, small engine shops and different catalogs. Depending on what you want to do with your cart you should definitely do some research on the subject.
