11 Exercise Tips for Overweight Beginners

If you are a bit overweight and you are new to the gym scene, you have to be smart with your workouts. You can’t just jump into the gym routine unprepared. That may cause you to have serious injuries and it can also hinder your progress and make your workouts less effective. The smart thing t do would be to have smart workout tips to use to ensure that your workouts are effective and fun.

1 Consult with your doctor first

When you want to start a new exercise or diet plan, you should always consult with your doctor first.

1. Start slow

Don’t jump into your workouts full blast, rather take things slow in the beginning.

2.Set goals

If you set goals at the beginning of your weight loss journey, your workouts will have more purpose and drive. Sample goals would be the number of days you want to exercise, the amount of weight you want to lose or the amount of weight you want to lift in x weeks.

3. Have solid motivation in place

Motivation will ensure that you complete your gym program. Write down your reasons for wanting to lose weight and review it often to motivate you.
